AEW will be on TNT starting on October 2nd, but WWE could have some big plans to squash their momentum. Because if they can move NXT into that space on the USA Network first then they might be able to establish themselves on Wednesday nights before AEW has a chance.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE could be looking to jump the gun on AEW with their Wednesday night plans. Because although FS1 was giving them an issue with Big East basketball, USA Network doesn’t seem to have anything solid on Wednesday nights.

Therefore, NXT could start on USA Network before October.

USA Network is also already an established destination for pro wrestling fans so that also plays into WWE’s benefit when considering a move for NXT. Everything in that regard seems to give WWE an advantage especially considering how well NXT previously performed on USA Network.
