WWE is moving NXT off of the WWE Network. Whether WWE keeps NXT on WWE Network in some form is another question to be answered, but they are certainly making a big change.

The latest plan is to move NXT to the USA Network on Wednesday nights. This is not only going to get NXT in a lot more homes than if they were on FS1, but USA Network is already a prime destination for pro wrestling fans.

We previously reported that WWE could debut NXT on the USA Network even before October 2nd which would beat AEW to the punch. That is apparently the working idea because PW Insider reports that a source in WWE indicated that September 11th could be a big day for NXT.

One source pointed out that NXT has an planned taping at Full Sail University on Wednesday 9/11 and that they could easily launch the show “live” at that taping.

NXT also has a television taping on September 12th which could reportedly be a taped show for the next week. Then the plan would be to air a live NXT episode every week from October on.

It seems like the working plan might be to air an episode of NXT live and then tape another show. This tactic of alternating live and taped shows could work out, but the obvious goal is to keep it as live as possible in order to really compete with AEW.
