WWE SmackDown Live was a huge mess this week and you can click here to read all about that. One day prior, Raw received a much better review, but it still needed to be changed around a little bit.

Fightful Select reports that two big segments were changed for Raw this week. If things would have gone according to plan, fans would have seen Rey Mysterio and Ricochet in the final pairing of the gauntlet match. We would have also seen a much different assault on Seth Rollins.

WWE Raw, which went largely unchanged from last week’s original pitches, outside of the extent of the Brock Lesnar attack on Seth Rollins, and Rey Mysterio originally being set to take on Ricochet in the finals of the gauntlet match.

Perhaps WWE’s decision was to up the violence of Brock Lesnar’s beating on Seth Rollins because he went through quite an awful experience. We might never know what those original plans really were for The Architect, but it would have been nice to see Mysterio and Ricochet wrestle in a WWE ring.
