WWE’s move to Fox in October is going to be a big deal for the company and they have a lot of plans in order to build hype. Not only are they going to be going from town to town in big moving van to promote the move, but they are also going to clue new fans in on insider wrestling terms.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that Fox also plans on holding a big hour-long launch special on Fox closer to SmackDown’s jump to their network. This will likely be in late September which is perfect timing for the new show.

“There’s going to be a one-hour launch show in late September I’m going to guess on a Friday night to build the first show to introduce the wrestlers, the talent of WWE to the audience.”

Hopefully, WWE will be able to catch newer viewers up to speed on what is going on with the SmackDown product before they appear on Fox in front of a brand new market. This is very interesting and we can’t wait to see what they mention (and leave out) of this upcoming special.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
