Bray Wyatt made his big return to WWE television this week on Raw and it was the pop of the night for the fans on Long Island. It had been months since Wyatt delivered a Sister Abigail in the ring, but it was well worth the wait to see The Fiend.

Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that the backstage opinion of Wyatt’s return is that it was a ‘nice start.’ The company put a lot of effort into his new character, but the reaction he received on Monday has to be taken as a good sign.

“A source in WWE on Bray’s return in front of the live audience: ‘we have a lot riding on him being successful and it’s a nice start'”

It appears that Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor are headed to Summerslam for a match. After that, Finn Balor will reportedly be taking hiatus from the company. So putting Wyatt over might be a way to write Balor off of WWE television for a bit.

Hopefully, Wyatt continues to receive those great reactions from live crowds because he put in a lot of work to develop this new persona. At one point, he told The Fiend’s mask designer that it saved his career.
