WWE’s upcoming deal on Fox could bring some big changes to WWE and the pro wrestling world in general. In fact, they are reportedly having meeting next week to discuss some of those changes.

Matt Riddle wasn’t pushed up the NXT card as he might have, on the other hand, Mike Johnson reports that there was no plan to elevate Riddle so quickly into the NXT TakeOver: Toronto main event.

Brad Shepard now reports that WWE is interested in bringing Riddle to the main roster so he can be on the blue brand going into the Fox deal.

According to a source in #WWE, the company is interested in promoting Matt Riddle to the main roster going into Fox. As I previously reported on #OYDKWS, he’ll eventually get his chance as long as his inappropriate tweeting was a lesson learned.

WWE needs some big draws for the blue brand as they head into NXT. Because not only will the audience need to be greater, but it is also very important that they make a good impression in a possible sink or swim situation.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
