WWE brought Alexa Bliss and Natalya along for the trip to Saudi Arabia in hopes that they would get permission to wrestle at the Super ShowDown event. It seems that this decision has gone back and forth, but now it is not happening.

Dave Meltzer has confirmed that the Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority has denied Alexa Bliss vs Natalya. Therefore, Bliss and Nattie made the 17 hour trip for nothing.

At one point, the government had indicated to WWE they could have their first women’s match on this show, but then wavered on it.

This is very disappointing and makes us wonder when WWE might be able to finally attain their bragging rights of holding a women’s match in Saudi Arabia. It is not happening at Super ShowDown and it’s not a good look that WWE brought these women without a match being the end result.
