Rey Mysterio’s match against Samoa Joe at Money In The Bank was ended early due to blood. Joe busted his nose as Rey hit him with a seated senton. Then they had to go to the finish.

Joe was apparently okay to execute a planned post-match attack, but those bumps injured Mysterio. The new WWE United States Champion is now out of action thanks to that attack from Samoa Joe.

PW Insider reports that Rey Mysterio suffered what is believed to be a separated shoulder at Money In The Bank. He is not slated to be at Raw tonight in Albany.

Hopefully, Mysterio’s injury won’t require him to take an extended break from the ring. WWE was seemingly creating a slow-build that could possibly see Mysterio’s son Dominick become part of the action. It would be really hard to carry on with that story without Rey Mysterio around.

Depending on the severity, a separated shoulder can have a healing time of around twelve weeks. It could be longer or shorter for Mysterio, but we will let you know as soon as more information is made available.
