Money In The Bank featured a US Title match that was ended far too soon. As it turns out when Samoa Joe was busted open the referee was ordered just to end the match.

Joe wasn’t happy about this and although the match was called off early, the post-match beatdown still went as planned.

Bryan Alvarez noted on The Bryan & Vinny Show that Rey Mysterio was banged up after that match despite it being so short. It was really the post-match beatdown that did the trick.

“He was icing himself down, he may have separated his shoulder, I don’t know. I’ll get an update tomorrow, but he definitely has a shoulder injury.”

This isn’t a good thing, especially if WWE wants to continue this storyline. Because it will be pretty hard to escalate, even with a slow-build if Mysterio is taken out of action with an injury.
