WWE Scrapped Title Match From Money In The Bank

WWE had a lot of options regarding how to book Money In The Bank. According to PW Insider, the company was toying with the idea of adding a last-minute title match to Money In The Bank, but that might not happen now.

The IIconics won the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at WrestleMania. This was a booking decision that didn’t make Sasha Banks very happy, but now it appears as though Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have other challengers.

Kairi Sane and Asuka are now known as The Kabuki Warriors. As they are led to the ring by Paige, the three former NXT Women’s Champions are gaining a lot of momentum.

It is reported that WWE had toyed with the idea of The Kabuki Warriors getting a shot at those WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, but that’s not happening now.

At one point over the last week, there was talk of adding the IIconics vs. The Kabuki Warriors to the Kickoff show but based on what we have heard, that will not be happening tonight.

It is important to remember that WWE can add a match any time they like. So that match could still happen. Either way, it seems like that is the direction they are eventually heading toward with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
