Harper is in a very bad way right now in WWE. He is stuck in a contract with the company even though he wants to leave. Now WWE is tacking on even more time to his contract due to time missed due to an injury.

The situation with Harper seemed to escalate when it was made known that Vince McMahon had no plans for him during the Superstar Shake-up. This is when Harper decided to ask for his release and then make public statement on the matter.

Harper had a match against EC3 where Drake Maverick played the part of EC3’s manager. This was trial run for that team, but Harper was said to not have any part in Vince McMahon’s proposed direction.

Fightful reports that a source told them that “Vince McMahon himself seemed to have a long-term issue with Luke Harper and that whatever happened wouldn’t have mattered anyway, going as far to say that McMahon ‘decided to hate anything he was involved in long ago.'”

This is unfortunate for Harper and means that he was in a position where there was no convincing Vince McMahon that he could be of value. This makes it even stranger that WWE doesn’t want to allow him the luxury of leaving the company.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
