Tommaso Ciampa is out of action with neck injury. He required surgery and it was heartbreaking to hear him talk all about it. Now he is sitting on the sidelines while Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole battle for Goldy.
Ciampa commented on Twitter that he is rooting for Johnny Gargano in that 2 out of 3 falls match at NXT TakeOver: New York. Adam Cole is filling in for Ciampa’s spot, but the storyline leading into that event had Johnny Wrestling winning written all over it.

Only time will tell how NXT TakeOver: New York ends. It will likely tear the house down if any previous TakeOver specials are an indication of things.
It is unfortunate that Ciampa was injured, but he beat his body up bad before even making it to WWE. Hopefully, he will make a strong return when the time is right, but for now, he will be rooting for his former #DIY partner.
