Kurt Angle’s legendary in-ring career is set to end at WrestleMania 35. This could be a very sad moment because not only is his career coming to a close, but he is also facing someone who the fans do not want to see him against in Baron Corbin.

While speaking to The Gorilla Position, Kurt Angle was asked about his final match. He said that John Cena was his preferred opponent, but it didn’t work out. Then he disclosed that Cena will have a WrestleMania match, but it won’t be against him,

“I was hoping it was gonna be John, but it didn’t happen. I’m sure that he has another match in mind, but I wanted him to end my career just like when he started I started his career. So it was a good little storyline, but unfortunately, it’s not gonna work out.”

“I love John and I know that he will have a WrestleMania match. I’m not sure if they’ve announced it yet, but I’m almost positive he’s gonna be there.”

This not only confirms that Angle did want Cena as his partner as we previously reported, but he also seemed to still be disappointed that he is facing Baron Corbin. It is also rather interesting how he said that Cena will have a WrestleMania match, but then kind of backtracked a tad after he realized that he might have said too much.

Let’s just wait until WrestleMania to see what WWE has in mind for John Cena. It must be important because Vince McMahon decided to do whatever Cena is doing over having the match with Kurt Angle that everyone wanted to see.
