WWE Still Narrowing Down John Cena’s WrestleMania Opponent

John Cena is fully expected to be at WrestleMania this year, but he won’t have much time to prepare for a match. He is shooting a movie in Canada until April 1st. Cena could start an online feud and confuse his millions of followers by jumping on the recent trend of shooting worked online angles. However, that might not be his style.

John Pollock of Post Wrestling reported that WWE is still narrowing down John Cena’s WrestleMania match. At this point, he might be on a short list to face Kurt Angle, but that is not set in stone yet. Another person he could have a quick match with would be Elias.

“One option could be Elias if Cena is just coming in for something quick with low expectations. There is also the question of how available Cena is to do any television before ‘Mania considering he’s in the middle of shooting a movie. Based on television, it feels that Cena should do something involving R-Truth after all the references. Maybe they can attack Elias and rap together.”

This entire situation could have been avoided if Lars Sullivan would have been able to carry through with WWE’s original plans.

You never know what can happen at WrestleMania. So John Cena might sit in the front row of the show yet again only to jump in the ring during a musical segment. This could be interesting, because Elias said that he has his eyes on Cena, but he also thinks a match against The Undertaker would be a perfect fit as well.
