WWE RAW included plenty of segments and angles that got fans talking last night. One very interesting segment took place as an intern walked into Alexa Bliss’ dressing room with some coffee only to find her half-dressed.

Dave Meltzer explained WWE’s reasoning or this angle on Wrestling Observer Radio. It seems that WWE is trying to return to their Attitude Era roots a little bit, but with a 2019 spin so it’s not too off-putting.

“So the idea is they want to bring back this idea of God only knows what. It’s like old time, old time stuff. It’s like whatever, that stuff’s on regular TV shows all the time too. It was an attempt to do something that was very awkward in execution, but it was an attempt to make things sexy. That’s all that was.”

Meltzer noted that he wasn’t offended by the segment, but Bryan Alvarez still said that this segment was dumb. They equated it to Naomi and Mandy Rose’s current sexting angle as well.

It looks like the New Era will include a bit of Attitude Era, or at least as much as they can get away with and still remain TV-PG.
