Nikki Cross is known as the Twisted Sister of NXT, but she’s one of the top names fans talk about when discussing who should get called up to the main roster. Cross even answered Becky Lynch’s open challenge in Manchester which popped the crowd in England huge, but then she wasn’t seen on SmackDown Live after that.
For that matter, SAnitY hasn’t been featured on the blue brand either, which is a crying shame for the former NXT Tag Team Champions. But WWE could possibly be gearing up for something soon.
It was noted on PW Insider that Cross hasn’t been moved over to the main roster at this time. But on that note, she also wasn’t used during the latest set of NXT television tapings which will stretch up to NXT TakeOver: Phoenix.
Her name is still featuring on WWE’s website as an NXT Superstar even though WWE’s own social media touted her SmackDown Live open challenge as her main roster debut. This could be an instance of Vince McMahon just figuring that fans have the memory of a goldfish, but it doesn’t look like Nikki stuck around.
But if I were a betting man we’ll be seeing Nikki Cross make some waves on the main roster soon enough. But creative needs to have something in mind for her to do. After all, far too many NXT talents have met the same fate of being called up without any kind of creative direction behind them so they floundered. Therefore, it’s not a totally bad thing that WWE is taking their time with Nikki Cross.
