As previously reported, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Edge would be appearing at the upcoming SmackDown 1000 show in October. Edge later revealed on Twitter that he had no idea that he would be appearing on the show.
Mike Johnson discussed Edge’s tweet on today’s installment of PWInsider Elite Audio and is sticking to his original claim that Edge will be on the show and the reason the former WWE Superstar is denying the reports is because WWE has to make the announcement first.
“I love how Edge said, “news to me” when we reported that he would be appearing on the show. Alright buddy, let’s see what happens that night and I already see people asking if I’m going to recend what I wrote. No because what I wrote is true. He’s not going to say anything until they [WWE] announce it. Come on now. None of them are going to say anything until WWE does.”
