Vince McMahon is the man in charge of WWE and as he ushers in this New Era, the decisions are still up to him and him alone. He might make it seem like that’s not the case all of the time, but the WWE wouldn’t be what it is without Vinny Mac.
Former WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs appeared on Wrestling Observer Live for an interview with Bryan Alvarez. You might think that Jacobs would be sour about getting fired over a selfie with his Bullet Club buddies, but that is not the case. The Zombie Princess actually explained how the WWE creative process just wouldn’t work without Vince in charge.

“The Vince factor is a huge part of writing RAW and SmackDown. Even if you took Vince out of the equation, it’s an extremely difficult task to come up with new ideas, concepts and new matches for 3 hours each week. But yeah, it’s difficult writing for Vince. The prevailing goal is “Is Vince going to like this?”

One day the WWE will have to exist without Vince McMahon. That is the circle of life and WWE is a neverending story. As for right now, it looks like Vince is the guy holding it all together backstage. Let’s just see what his plans are to turn things around after his announcement on Monday.
