WWE has a Superstars from all over the world in their company at this point, but as they pick up even more steam in their global expansion they need as many top stars as possible. Shane Strickland has dazzled audiences all over with his ability in the ring and WWE is certainly interested, but there’s a possible issue with his Lucha Underground deal.
PW Insider reports Stickland might not be allowed to start with WWE in January as everyone expected he would. Now there could be a delay due to contractual issues with Lucha Underground although they weren’t specified.
Strickland was unmasked as Killshot in the last season of LU, and while this issue might be coming to close, there is apparently still something in his Lucha Underground contract that’s holding up the deal.
In the meantime, Shane “Swerve” Strickland will continue to work for MLW and he is still booked for their upcoming Miami shows. He is also currently being advertised for MLW’s Philadelphia show in February. It looks like Shane is going to be staying plenty busy in the meantime, but he will have to apparently wait a bit longer than expected before arriving in WWE.
