Natalya was supposed to be in a tag team match with Ronda Rousey against Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka last night on Raw. Then The Riott Squad took it upon themselves to come down before the bell could ring and put Nattie through a table while Nia and Tamina worked on Ronda. Natalya immediately grabbed her elbow after the table spot and the match never took place. Rousey was forced to pick another partner later on in the night and their opening contest was rescheduled for the main event of the show.
Some outlets have reported Natalya suffered a legit injury on Raw last night, but that is probably not the case at all. Not only did Ronda Rousey have scripted lines to recite backstage when she was picking a new partner, but WWE also had Ember Moon ready to take Nattie’s place after Michael Cole claimed on commentary that both Natalya and Rousey were seriously injured by the attack.
“Ronda’s never seriously hurt,” Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio when Bryan Alvarez chimed in saying: “No one’s ever seriously hurt.” Then Meltzer explained the storyline device which removed Natalya from the picture so Ember Moon could take her place.

“Well Natalya has an elbow injury so they took her out and took her to the doctors and that was the idea of getting her out of the picture and putting Ember Moon in the picture.”

Therefore, Ronda Rousey wasn’t supposed to have Natalya as her partner in this match for one reason or another. Ember Moon was put in Nattie’s spot instead and the “elbow injury” was meant for storyline reasons as a means to get The Queen Of Harts out of the match.
Natalya isn’t likely injured, but only time will tell how long WWE milks this angle. It is interesting they would choose an elbow injury seeing how Braun Strowman is currently out of action with legit elbow injury, but maybe that played into their thinking as well.
We previously reported Natalya was supposed to turn on Ronda Rousey, but Jim Neidhart’s death stopped those plans which should have already transpired from happening. Therefore, this could very well be a storyline device to set up some kind of eventual turn for Natalya.
It seems that Natalya was at least okay enough after Raw to tweet about wanting revenge. She also blocked Sarah Logan on Twitter for saying that she hates 2Pawz. At this time we have heard nothing saying that Natalya’s injury is a legitimate one and as always, thanks for reading Ringside News.
