WWE has a lot of people under their employ, but of course, they want more. They also apparently don’t want anyone else to have a talent if they think it could benefit the competition. We previously reported that Vince McMahon might not be worried about the possibility of All Elite Wrestling, but apparently, that doesn’t apply to ROH.
Ring Of Honor has signed PCO and Brody King to contracts recently and as Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio, they would have rather kept those signings a secret so they could debut them as a surprise later on. But WWE is apparently still going after as many people as they can to make sure that no other big surprise signings end up in the hands of the competition.

“Here’s the thing, WWE is signing people left and right. I’ve heard that they’ve come heavily after guys from —  I know promoters and people like that who are like, ‘They are flagrantly tampering with everybody’s guys.’ I don’t know but that’s what people are telling me. But they’re trying to sign everyone because they don’t want this door to open. The last thing they want is competition.”
“People are like, ‘Oh Vince is really excited about the competition,’ it’s like you don’t know Vince at all. You’ve like never followed Vince McMahon if you think that.”

It will be a very interesting situation as more contracts come up for negotiations down the line. Because WWE reportedly has their toe in many different waters that they might not need to be stepping in quite yet. It is illegal to talk to someone who is under contract and WWE realizes this fact. But possibly they consider the fact that they’re the biggest company with the most attorneys might play to their advantage.
Only time will tell if ROH or AEW become big threats to WWE at this point. It seems like Impact Wrestling and WWE have been able to find some kind of agreement recently which is very interesting as well. But Impact Wrestling might not feel the same about WWE.
