We previously reported that an incident took place at the LLB/Lucha Memes event- which saw Angel o Demonio knock his opponent, Cuervo, out cold by throwing a large concrete brick at the back of his head.
In an update to this story, Cuervo’s Facebook page has announced that the wrestler was forced to have surgery in order to remove a blood clot, which was reportedly a success. While in a stable condition, Cuervo won’t be wrestling anytime soon, and that is due to Demonio’s actions.
As Ryan Satin notes over at Pro Wrestling Sheet, Demonio was suspended indefinitely by the Boxing and Wrestling Commission of Mexico. Additionally, they are also seeking answers on why the event had such an extreme match type when they had expressly prohibited it.
As a reminder, the incident occurred as Cuervo had his back turned at ringside, as Demonio threw the concrete at him from inside the ring. From what we now understand, this was a shoot incident that Demonio calls payback for some stiff chair shots earlier in the match.
While graphic, you can see the footage of the incident in the tweet by @luchablog below:

It remains to be seen what happens moving forward with this case, but Demonio has certainly made many enemies on the independent wrestling scene from this one clip alone.
