WWE Survivor Series is tonight and the plans were initially to feature a much different card than what fans will see in the Staples Center. This card has experienced more than a couple alterations as the Universal Champion was likely supposed to be Roman Reigns going into the event and plausibly leaving it as well.
But WWE shifted the Survivor Series card from something totally different to brand vs brand once again because Vince McMahon didn’t want to see AJ Styles vs Roman Reigns.
One of the biggest matches for the WWE Survivor Series card was supposed to be Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch in a champion vs champion battle, but thanks to a stray punch from Nia Jax, Becky suffered a severe concussion and was pulled out of the match.
Even though Becky vs Ronda is likely going to be moved to WrestleMania now, even Edge thinks so, the plan according to source from Post Wrestling’s sources said that Lynch vs Rousey was penciled in to headline Survivor Series anyway. Now it looks like we could be changing that main event match to Mania.
Only time will tell if Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair will headline Survivor Series now or if Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan will get that spot. But apparently, there was a time when WWE was going to let Rowdy Ronda Rousey and The Man duke it out in the main event at the Staples Center.
