Shawn Michaels made his in-ring return at WWE Crown Jewel and fans and critics alike have widely said that he was the best performer in the match. Then again, Triple H injured himself early while Kane and The Undertaker did all they could one being a Mayor now and the other with a brand-new hip. But for HBK, he was able to perform.
It might not have been like it once was athletically, but as Michaels spoke on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, he revealed that the one spot which was worrying him the most was a signature of his that not everyone can pull off every time.

“My biggest question was the nip-up. The braces that I had are nonexistent anymore so I had new knee braces on. So that was really the million-dollar question is, ‘Okay if I can make the nip-up everything else’ — I can make the elbow, you practically just fall off the top rope.”

HBK nailed the nip-up and pretty much did a great job overall considering the situation he was in. Even the dive off the top rope to the floor was good on Shawn’s end, The Undertaker and Kane just split the waters and allowed him to fall face-first on the ground.
But Shawn Michaels was able to nail the nip-up which for him was one of the biggest tests he had.
