We previously reported a rumor that The Undertaker is more likely to show up for SummerSlam than John Cena. But Bryan Alvarez recently addressed the idea of these two actually have a match during Wrestling Observer Live.

By the sounds of things, it might not be an impossibility to assume this match could be possible.

“I do know The Undertaker is scheduled to be working Madison Square Garden. AAA and Ring Of Honor both planning on running Madison Square Garden in the next couple of years. And I mean if The Undertaker’s back working Madison Square Garden I mean hey they could do that WrestleMania rematch at SummerSlam.”

“John Cena did do an interview a while ago which now that I think about it with this rumor out there it was probably by design where, ‘I wasn’t perfect, I was sitting in the crowd, I went out there it wasn’t like a real match.’ The more I think about it the more I think about them doing a built advertised match at SummerSlam. Does anyone want to see it is the real question.”

The Undertaker and John Cena could even up the score at SummerSlam if Cena can beat Taker. But at this point in his career, Undertaker probably doesn’t need to be taking too many more bumps.

Only time will tell what happens but we will keep you updated as we hear more information. After all, SummerSlam is still a couple of months away.
