Vince McMahon is no longer heading up 205 Live on a weekly basis.

PWInsider reports that WWE made the change last week with the beginning of the Crusierweight tournament to have Triple H oversea the show moving forward.

Vince McMahon was personally behind working with 205 Live Superstars to bring out their personalities and believed that a character-driven show could help get the talents and 205 Live over with fans. Enzo Amore was moved to the forefront of the brand and made champion because of that.

Many within the company have been arguing that presenting the cruiserweights similar to how the Cruiserweight Classic was presented is the right direction for the show. Triple H will work alongside lead writer Jonathan Baeckstrom, who has been a part of the company’s creative team since August 2013. The new focus will be building the brand up by presenting strong athletic characters and in-ring competition before taking the brand back on the road.
