As seen on Monday’s episode of RAW, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar came out to gloat about Lesnar’s WWE Universal Title victory over Bill Goldberg at Sunday’s WrestleMania 33 event. This segment eventually ended with Braun Strowman having a face-to-face with Lesnar, which will reportedly lead at match at a later date.

Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that Lesnar vs. Strowman is the direction the company is headed in for Brock’s next title defense. Meltzer said while he’s not sure exactly when the match will take place, he can confirm that it won’t be at the upcoming WWE Payback event in San Jose, California. Meltzer said that the company isn’t going to waste one of Lesnar’s appearances at that event.
