Zaria is leaving NXT Heatwave with all the gold after beating Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong in a Triple Threat Match. Zaria pinned Armstrong after an F5 to unify the NXT Women’s North American Championship and WWE Women’s Speed Championship.
The match was put together after Zaria and Sinclair failed to take each other’s titles in singles competition. NXT General Manager Robert Stone then gave Armstrong a place in the title unification match after she asked to be involved. Despite the Speed Championship being on the line, there was no Speed Rules time limit.
Sinclair tried to hang back when the bell rang and let Zaria and Armstrong throw hands, but that strategy didn’t last long. Zaria quickly rolled Sinclair up as all three women exchanged rapid near falls in the opening moments.
Armstrong took control at ringside after knocking both opponents out of the ring. She looked for a running attack around the ring, but Sinclair got out of the way and Armstrong crashed into the steel steps.
Zaria went after Sinclair inside the ring, while Armstrong continued to break up pin attempts and momentum swings. Sinclair had a big opening when she landed a double crossbody, but neither opponent stayed down long enough for her to finish it.
The final stretch was packed with huge shots. Zaria landed a double spear, Armstrong hit Sinclair with the Kali Connection and then powerslammed Zaria, while Sinclair nearly put Zaria away with the Final Wrench. Armstrong pulled Sinclair outside and powerslammed her on the floor, leaving Zaria alone in the ring. Zaria then speared Armstrong, hit the F5, and covered her for the win.
Zaria now holds both championships after one of the night’s wildest title matches. With the North American and Speed titles now combined, NXT’s women’s division has a new champion at the center of it all.
