X-Pac welcomes David McLane to the show.

McLane’s new all-female wrestling show, W.O.W. (Women of Wrestling), debuted this past Friday on AXS TV. McLane was also the founder of G.L.O.W. in the 1980s.

McLane informs that the G.L.O.W. documentary that was produced nearly 5 years ago played a big part in the development of Netflix’s GLOW series. The women who developed that show for production were actually inspired by the documentary, not the original series. McLane also feels that the documentary played a role in the development of his new show, W.O.W.

McLane informs that his roster consists of some terrific in-ring talent such as Santana Garrett and Tessa Blanchard. He adds that it’s also very important to have characters too, as well as star-powered phenoms such as “The Beast”. X-Pac says every part of Blanchard’s game is on point. She’s as good as anyone in the business right now in X-Pac’s opinion.

McLane informs that they had thousands of women show up for try-outs. He works from a character-driven mindset and he has several gimmicks in mind that he hasn’t found the right woman for yet. He says it’s important for talent to have a combination of skills, as well as a good work ethic and a good personality.

In developing this show, McLane spoke with fans who told them they wanted to see the fun put back into wrestling again. Other fans said they wanted to see an all-female show where the women were treated as the Superstars. The response to the show has been unbelievable thus far and he urges fans to keep watching to they can not only keep the show on the air, but expand and possible transition to live broadcasts in the future.

That sums up today’s episode of X-Pac 1, 2, 360. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya next week for another recap!
