WWE’s mysterious “946” trademark has finally been revealed, and Royce Keys just made it clear the name is tied to his new group with OTM.
WWE filed to register “946” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on August 28, but the filing didn’t explain how the term would be used. That changed after Keys posted a new vignette to his Instagram featuring himself alongside Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.
The video used black-and-white footage of the group’s destruction since Keys aligned with OTM, while red words flashed across the screen. Among them were “preach,” “family,” “loyality,” “look at the play I called,” and “ain’t nobody safe.” Then the numbers “946” appeared, directly connecting WWE’s trademark filing to the group.
The vignette also flashed the phrase “this is real life” as footage continued showing the destruction caused by Keys and OTM, including their attacks involving The Bloodline. Keys narrated over the package while the entire video kept the same black-and-white look with red text cutting through the footage.
That pretty much clears up the mystery behind WWE’s filing. “946” is being used as part of the identity for Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price. The name also fits with how WWE has presented the group so far. Michael Cole referenced their Oakland, California roots during their debut, giving the numbers a connection to where the faction comes from.
