LA Knight has found himself at the center of plenty of speculation lately, especially with his issues involving Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. But if you’re expecting WWE to suddenly turn him into a heel and align him with 946, don’t count on it.
During a recent Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked whether WWE has considered turning Knight heel and join with 946 as his storyline continues to heat up. According to WrestleVotes, that’s simply not the direction the company wants to go.
“They don’t wanna turn LA Knight heel.”
The reason is pretty straightforward. WrestleVotes said Knight is still getting some of the biggest reactions on the roster, and WWE sees that as something worth protecting rather than changing.
“He’s been getting great reactions.”
He also pointed to something fans don’t usually get to see on television. According to WrestleVotes, Knight has been the one sending fans home happy after RAW has gone off the air, which is a spot WWE doesn’t hand out to just anyone.
“The last couple of weeks, he’s been the guy to close the show off-air. That doesn’t happen to just anybod. He did the same last night.”
The report comes after weeks of growing speculation about Knight’s direction, especially after it was revealed that WWE had at least discussed the possibility of him pulling off a shocking World Heavyweight Championship win over Roman Reigns. On the September 28 edition of WWE RAW, Knight also made it clear he’s still focused on Roman, confronting The Bloodline backstage before telling them he’d be waiting for the Tribal Chief next week.
For now, though, it doesn’t sound like WWE wants to mess with what’s already working. Knight continues to get some of the loudest reactions on the roster, and based on this report, the company has no interest in changing that by turning him heel.
