N3on’s apology may have been public, but it didn’t erase WWE’s frustration behind the scenes.
The streamer found himself at the center of controversy after accidentally livestreaming Penta without his mask at Fanatics Fest. While N3on quickly deleted the footage after Penta asked him to, the clip had already spread across social media—and according to WrestleVotes, WWE wasn’t happy about any of it.
Speaking during a recent Q&A session, TC didn’t mince words when asked how the company reacted: “They were a little hot about that.” JoeyVotes agreed, saying the frustration extended well beyond just WWE officials.
“Yeah, they weren’t happy. I don’t think anybody was happy.”
Despite the backlash, it doesn’t sound like WWE immediately shut the door on N3on. TC pointed out that the popular streamer was still welcomed backstage at Saturday Night’s Main Event, suggesting the company didn’t view the incident as something worthy of an outright ban. That said, whether he’ll get another invitation is a different story.
“Well, he was there at Saturday Night’s Main Event, so it wasn’t a burial kind of situation for him. But I don’t know if he’ll be back again.”
JoeyVotes described WWE’s response as more of a warning than a punishment: “It’s like, ‘Hey, don’t do it again’—a slap on the wrist.”
The incident happened during Fanatics Fest, where Penta had been told he could safely remove his mask in a restricted area while N3on had separately been given permission to continue livestreaming there. Neither realized their instructions would collide until Penta suddenly appeared on camera unmasked.
As soon as Penta noticed what had happened, he approached N3on and asked him to delete the footage. N3on immediately agreed and later issued a public apology, insisting it was never his intention to disrespect the former AEW star or expose one of the most protected traditions in lucha libre.
Even so, once viewers clipped and reposted the footage online, the damage had already been done. For now, it doesn’t appear N3on has been blacklisted by WWE. But if this report is accurate, the company made it clear it wasn’t pleased with what happened—and whether the streamer is welcomed back to another WWE event remains very much up in the air.
