Netflix just dropped the trailer for the next season of WWE: Unreal, and WWE is clearly going big with the behind-the-scenes drama this time around.

The new season returns on July 21 and will feature five episodes, with each episode running around 50 minutes. The season will cover some major WWE stories, including John Cena’s retirement run, AJ Lee’s return, and the road to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

That is already enough to get people watching, but the trailer also leans into WWE’s push to build its next generation of stars. Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Bron Breakker are all featured as part of that focus, with the show looking at the pressure behind deciding when to go all in on new talent.

The trailer also touches on Seth Rollins’ injury at Crown Jewel last October, which adds another major behind-the-scenes piece to the season. On top of that, fans got a shot of CM Punk and AJ Lee with their dog Larry, which is definitely going to get people talking once the season drops.

WWE: Unreal is a co-production between Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and WWE. The series gives fans a look behind the curtain at how WWE puts together its biggest stories, characters, and moments.

With Cena’s retirement, AJ Lee’s return, WrestleMania 42, and WWE’s next crop of stars all packed into five episodes, this season looks like it will have plenty for fans to pick apart.

Ringside News will keep you updated on WWE: Unreal and anything major that comes out of the new season once it hits Netflix.
