Roman Reigns finally knows the road his next challenger will have to survive. Just one day after WWE shut down rumors linking El Grande Americano to a World Heavyweight Championship match against the Tribal Chief, the company has officially revealed the bracket for its AAA crossover No. 1 Contender’s Tournament.
WWE announced the full lineup on Twitter, confirming four first-round matches that will determine who earns a shot at Reigns on the September 14 edition of RAW in Mexico City.
RAW (August 10): Penta vs. Laredo Kid
AAA (August 15): Psycho Clown vs. La Parka
RAW (August 17): Dragon Lee vs. Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
RAW (August 17): Rey Fénix vs. El Fiscal
By the looks of it, WWE has loaded the field with some of the biggest names from AAA and its own roster, with Penta, Rey Fénix and Dragon Lee all now officially in the hunt for a shot at Roman Reigns. So it’s pretty clear fans will get to see a ton of dream matches every single week.
Now that the bracket is locked in, the only question left is which superstar will survive the tournament and earn the chance to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion in Mexico City.
