The November 3 episode of WWE RAW kicked off with a massive segment featuring CM Punk, Logan Paul, and The Vision—but while fans were eating it up live, reports behind the scenes claimed things got a little out of control.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer noted that the show’s opening went way over time, forcing producers to scramble and reshuffle the rest of the night’s schedule.
“Opening segment went approximately ten minutes long and they were scrambling,” Alvarez reported.
But now, WWE producer Shane “Hurricane” Helms has entered the conversation—and he’s not exactly co-signing the panic. Taking to Twitter/X, Helms clapped back at the chaos claims in full sarcasm mode.
“OMG! We were soooo scrambled! It was unreal! Yelling, screaming, monkeys swinging off of chandeliers, the humanity!!!!!!!!”
The tweet was clearly aimed at poking fun at the narrative that WWE’s production team lost control following CM Punk’s lengthy promo and the chaotic brawl that followed. That segment saw Punk and Paul get jumped by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker before Punk eventually cleared the ring with a chair.
Even though the segment reportedly pushed the show off schedule, Helms’ response suggests things backstage were far from the circus it was made out to be.
So was it all blown out of proportion—or is Helms just covering for the chaos with humor?
Do you think Shane Helms was being real—or just deflecting with jokes? Was the segment worth the scramble? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
