The October 27 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show, and it’s the go-home edition of the show before the Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night.

NXT North American Championship: Jackson Drake (c) vs. E.K. Prosper

E.K. Prosper keeps getting championship opportunities. Now he gets another chance to finally turn one of them into gold.

Prosper challenged Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship on September 29 after answering Waller’s open challenge. He came close but couldn’t finish the job, and less than a month later he’s already worked his way into another title match.

This time Jackson Drake is the champion standing across from him. Drake currently has plenty to brag about because every member of Vanity Project is holding gold. He has the North American Championship, while Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes are the NXT Tag Team Champions.

Prosper can change that tonight with one win. He has already shown that he can hang around the championship picture, but getting close isn’t the same as actually becoming champion. Tonight gives him another opportunity to finally get over that line.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinal Match: Vanity Project vs. Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes already have the NXT Tag Team Championship. Now they’re two wins away from adding the Dusty Cup to Vanity Project’s collection.

The champions survived Mini Vikingo and Chazz “Starboy” Hall in the quarterfinals before getting dragged into more problems with them afterwards. They can forget about that for now because Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno are waiting in the semifinals.

Dar and Moreno have already done enough to prove that this isn’t going to be an easy path to the final for the champions. There’s also a little extra pressure on Vanity Project tonight. Jackson Drake has his North American Championship defense against E.K. Prosper on the same show, so this could either become another huge night for the group or the point where things start going wrong. The winner moves on to the Dusty Cup final.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinal Match: Hank & Tank vs. The Wagner Brothers

Hank & Tank are one match away from the Dusty Cup final, but getting there means beating the Wagner Brothers. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger got through the Creed Brothers in the quarterfinals, giving them one of their biggest wins of the tournament and sending them into the final four.

The Wagner Brothers had their own difficult quarterfinal against BirthRight. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno survived that match to keep their tournament run alive and set up tonight’s semifinal. Now there isn’t much room left for mistakes.

The winner faces either Vanity Project or Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, putting both teams one victory away from having the chance to win the whole thing.

Lizzy Rain vs. Chantel Monroe

Chantel Monroe gets her official NXT in-ring debut tonight. Monroe appeared backstage last week and didn’t exactly lack confidence. Now she has to show everyone that she can back it up when she faces Lizzy Rain.

This isn’t Monroe’s first time competing under the WWE umbrella. She’s already appeared on Evolve and LFG and even challenged Kendal Grey for the Evolve Women’s Championship. She was also part of NXT’s 20-woman No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal earlier this month.

Tonight is different because this is her first proper one-on-one match on NXT television. Lizzy Rain also has considerably more wrestling experience, having competed since 2021 before arriving in WWE. Monroe brings a gymnastics background and plenty of athleticism, but now she gets to find out how that translates against someone with more time in the ring.
