He also tells Je’Von, “Better luck next year.”

Oba Femi comes out with a mic. He says Trick talks like he runs NXT, but he’s just a broken record repeating himself. No one’s singing “Whoop That Trick” anymore except Trick himself. Oba warns him this is his last shot at Stand & Deliver—after that, it’s over.

Then he turns to Oba and shows some respect, saying “Real recognizes real.” He’s proud he dropped Oba twice—it meant something. Evans calls out Oba for acting like NXT revolves around him. Then he talks about his own journey, saying “This kid from North Carolina wasn’t supposed to make it, but I did.” And he’s ready to be the underdog. Oba replies, telling Evans he’s had a great rookie year and will be the future—but Oba is the now. He says he’s the top dog, and Evans is still just a kid.

Trick cuts in and says when they’re done complimenting each other, remember he’s walking out with the title. Evans fires back, saying neither Trick nor Oba can match him in the ring—he’ll run circles around both. Things break down. Oba and Trick toss Evans over the top rope. Then they trade punches. Evans leaps back in with a springboard double cutter on both. Fade to black.
