WWE isn’t slowing down with The Bloodline, and Roman Reigns’ grip on Monday Night RAW isn’t loosening anytime soon.
TRNBCKL Gold reports that sources close to WWE say Roman Reigns’ current run as World Heavyweight Champion on RAW on Netflix is not expected to end just yet. WWE is said to be very happy with how things have played out since WrestleMania 42, and Jacob Fatu joining The Bloodline has helped inject fresh life into the storyline. That tracks with what WWE just put on television.
The June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW opened with a major Bloodline segment featuring Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Jacob Fatu. Roman hyped Jey Uso’s King of the Ring run and made Baltimore acknowledge him before things got tense inside the family. Jey wanted Fatu to acknowledge him and Jimmy Uso, but Fatu made it clear he only answers to one man.
“I don’t listen to Jimmy and Jey. The only person that I acknowledge is the OTC.”
Roman then brought out a new Ula Fala and made Fatu’s place official, welcoming him into the group.
“Welcome to the Family Business, welcome to the Bloodline.”
Then WWE put an exclamation point on the whole thing. Eric Andre was sitting ringside, and even though he co-stars with Roman Reigns in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, that did not save him.
Fatu grabbed Andre, dragged him over the barricade, and threw him into the ring. Security rushed in, but Roman gave Fatu the green light. Fatu climbed to the top rope and crushed Andre with a diving headbutt. Roman laughed, and Fatu went back up and hit another one. That was the real message. Roman did not just add Jacob Fatu to The Bloodline. He unleashed him.
With Roman still champion, Fatu wrecking people on command, and WWE clearly pleased with the direction, The Bloodline looks locked in as one of RAW’s top stories for the foreseeable future.
