Tatum Paxley may be a SmackDown girl now, but apparently Halloween Havoc is one NXT party she just can’t stay away from. And sure enough, she’s heading back tomorrow night.
Paxley hopped on Twitter on October 30 and announced that she’ll be returning to NXT for Halloween Havoc on October 31. She won’t be getting into the ring this time, though, as Tatum revealed she’ll be one of the panelists for the show.
“Yup yup yup it sure doesn’t seem right to have Tater Paxley NOT be at #HalloweenHavoc …. SOOOO this year I’m coming to be one of the panelist cause i REFUSE to miss out on the show that gave me one of my best moments of my career! See you Saturday @WWENXT 🖤”
Tatum showing up at Halloween Havoc just feels right. Her whole creepy and unpredictable character always fit perfectly with the show, and NXT was her home for years before she eventually made the move over to Friday Night SmackDown.
Paxley went through quite a few different chapters during her time there. She started out alongside Diamond Mine before developing her memorable friendship with Lyra Valkyria and later becoming part of The Culling. Through all of it, Tatum gradually carved out her own identity instead of simply being attached to somebody else’s story.
Halloween Havoc clearly means a little more to her than just another NXT event, too. Paxley specifically pointed out that the show gave her one of the best moments of her career, which explains why she wasn’t about to sit at home just because she’s part of SmackDown now.
There’s nothing suggesting this means Tatum is suddenly moving back to NXT full-time. It sounds more like she simply refused to let Halloween Havoc happen without “Tater Paxley” finding some way to sneak herself onto the show.
