WWE addressed growing concerns internally this week regarding its upcoming international schedule as tensions continue escalating in the Middle East involving the United States and Iran.
During a Town Hall meeting with WWE talent and staff, Triple H and Nick Khan discussed several business-related topics, including the company’s plans for its scheduled Saudi Arabia events. WWE leadership informed those in attendance that the June trip to Riyadh is still moving forward and there is currently no concern within the company about heading to the region.
The discussion comes after recent uncertainty surrounding whether WWE and UFC events connected to Saudi Arabia could be impacted by the ongoing conflict overseas. Despite those concerns, WWE appears committed to staying on schedule for Night of Champions later this month.
TKO executive Mark Shapiro previously addressed the situation during an investor call when discussing activity in the Middle East and neighboring markets. During the call, Shapiro stated that TKO planned to move ahead with all scheduled events, including WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh and a UFC Fight Night event in Azerbaijan on June 27.
Shapiro also noted that the events would continue despite what he described as a challenging environment in the region. He credited both TKO and its international partners for maintaining their commitment to the scheduled shows.
The TKO executive additionally touched on concerns surrounding Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund after it pulled funding connected to LIV Golf. According to Shapiro, TKO was assured that its relationship with Saudi Arabia remains strong and that the company’s partners continue to support WWE and UFC events moving forward into 2026 and beyond.
WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia has remained one of the company’s biggest business deals over the last several years, though the events have frequently drawn criticism and concern whenever political tensions in the region escalate. At this point, however, WWE appears fully committed to continuing its scheduled plans without interruption.
