Styles attacks Joe right off the bat, punching him into the corner. Joe then forces AJ into the opposite corner and unleashes some headbutts, elbows, and heavy jabs. Joe floors AJ with a kick to the chest. Styles fights back and hits Joe with a b-e-a-utiful dropkick. Joe rolls from the ring and Styles climbs out after him.
AJ runs along the apron and hits a sliding knee to Joe’s face. Styles hits Joe’s head on the announce table before getting back inside to break the referee’s count. Styles follows-up with a baseball slide to Joe, knocking him backwards and into the announce table. Styles gets him back into the ring and looks for a Phenomenal Forearm but Joe rolls from the ring. Styles waits for Joe to move closer, then looks for a Phenomenal Forearm to the outside but Joe kicks him in mid-air. Joe follows-up with a big boot, then throws Styles into the steel steps.
Back inside the ring, Joe slows down the pace and chops AJ inside out. Joe stays in control and stomps AJ in the corner. Styles comes back with some kicks to the leg of Joe. The Samoan Submission Machine reverses a whip into the corner, then follows-up with a splash and an enziguiri. Joe knocks AJ from the ring, then hits a huge suicide dive that made AJ bounce off of the announce desk!

Back inside the ring, Joe scores a two-count. Joe applies a chinlock but AJ fights out and runs at Joe, only to be shoulder tackled into next week! Joe goes right back to the chinlock. Joe takes AJ to the top rope and wants to land a superplex but AJ slips through his legs and cuts Joe’s legs out from under him. Styles gets to his feet first and unleashes a flurry of punches and kicks to Joe, followed by a running forearm in the corner, then another on the mat. AJ hits a springboard reverse DDT for a near-fall!
Styles looks to hit a springboard moonsault but Joe gets his knees up. Joe then grabs AJ and hits a powerbomb for a two-count. AJ kicks out but Joe holds on and turns it into a Boston Crab. He then transitions into an STO, and then a crossface! Styles gets to the bottom rope. Joe and AJ trade shows in the middle of the ring, then AJ lands an incredible torture rack bomb to Joe! Styles rolls onto the apron and hits a springboard 450 splash for another near-fall!

AJ then grabs Joe and looks for the Styles Clash but Samoa drops him down, catapults him into the ring post, and hits a massive clothesline for a near-fall. The clothesline cut AJ’s mouth it seems. Joe sets AJ on the top rope and looks for a Muscle Buster but AJ slides down his back, and looks for the Styles Clash but Joe kicks him away. Joe connects with a huge enziguiri to AJ in the corner and floors him. Joe wills AJ to his feet, swings for a clothesline but AJ ducks and lands a Pele kick. Styles gets to the apron and leaps for the Phenomenal Forearm but Joe catches him with the Coquina Clutch! AJ reaches for the ropes but Joe takes him to the mat. AJ rolls over with the momentum and Joe’s shoulders are on the mat for the 123!

Winner: AJ Styles

Joe thinks he has won until the referee tells him what happened. Joe is incensed, he believes AJ was passed out in the hold. He grabs the WWE Championship and holds it up. Styles then turns him around and lands a Pele kick to knock AJ from the ring. We see the replay and AJ Styles was tapping out on the others side of the referee’s point of view! Samoa Joe should be Champion!
