WWE is finally going to explain what’s going on with Royce Keys and OTM. After spending their first two weeks on RAW beating down The Usos and pretty much anyone else in their way, the group has reportedly filmed new material that will reveal why they’re together in the first place.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price were outside Orlando on Tuesday with a WWE camera crew. The group was filming vignettes specifically designed to explain their relationship and give fans some background on the new alliance.
“I do know that they were in a neighborhood outside of Orlando on Tuesday with a camera crew, kind of Men on a Mission-style, filming some vignettes that are going to explain their relationship.”
That explanation has been the one thing missing so far. OTM arrived on RAW alongside Keys on August 24 and immediately wrecked the main event involving The Usos, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa. WWE didn’t give them a long introduction or explain the partnership. Nima and Price simply showed up with Keys and started hurting people. They doubled down on August 31 by taking out The Usos again. That established what the group can do pretty quickly. What fans still don’t know is why OTM decided to join Keys or what the three of them actually want on RAW.
The footage was shot in a neighborhood outside Orlando, with WrestleVotes comparing the setting to something WWE once did with Men on a Mission. That doesn’t necessarily mean Keys and OTM are getting anything resembling that old gimmick, but the location was apparently chosen to help tell their story. Fans might get to see that footage very soon too.
“It feels like the background of something they did years ago for Men on a Mission, going to portray over Royce Keys, OTM. We’ll see how that plays out. I think that’s going to start airing Monday.”
OTM’s arrival has already received a very positive reaction behind the scenes. WWE threw Nima and Price straight into major angles instead of slowly introducing them, and pairing them with Keys immediately gave the team a completely new direction.
So far, WWE has let Royce Keys and OTM do their talking with their fists. Two weeks of destruction got people wondering what their deal is, and now it looks like WWE is ready to give them the answer.
