WWE may not be finished adding to Sunday Night’s Main Event. With three matches already set for the September 6 show in Atlanta, another match involving Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Fatal Influence has been discussed for the card.
During a Q&A session, WrestleVotes’ JoeyVotes revealed that WWE has considered adding a women’s trios match featuring Fatal Influence against Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley.
“I do know the women’s trios match—Fatal Influence vs. Alexa, Tatum, and Charlotte—has been loosely discussed to make that card. They are treating this event as a PLE-lite.”
That last part gives a little more context to WWE’s plans. According to WrestleVotes, Sunday Night’s Main Event is being approached as a “PLE-lite,” so the company could continue adding to what is already a pretty notable lineup. TC also pointed out that WWE remains high on Fatal Influence and plans to keep featuring the group while they continue producing the results the company wants.
“They really like Fatal Influence. You talk about them with the numbers in their favor, and they will continue to use that until that changes. When you have a hot hand like that, you continue to use them.”
Nothing has been officially announced for the six-woman tag match yet, but it would add Charlotte, Alexa and Tatum to a show that already has Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton and Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi. Baron Corbin is also scheduled to face Lil Yachty in a non-title five-minute challenge. If Yachty wins, Trick Williams will receive an immediate United States Championship match.
Sunday Night’s Main Event takes place September 6 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. With WWE treating the show as a smaller-scale PLE rather than just another television special, the current three-match lineup may not be the finished card.
