WWE may have a new problem on its hands, and it has nothing to do with storylines.

Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that WWE is currently dealing with “significant visa issues.” There is no word yet on which talent may be affected, or how long the problem could last, but visa trouble has already caused major headaches across pro wrestling over the last few years.

AEW is dealing with that same issue right now. Komander and The Beast Mortos are currently unable to wrestle in the United States due to visa problems. That has made things tricky because Mortos and Sammy Guevara are the current ROH Tag Team Champions.

Tony Khan previously said the ROH Tag Team Titles would likely be defended in Mexico because of Mortos’ situation, and that already happened. Guevara and Mortos defended the titles at Arena Mexico against El Hijo del Villano and Villano III Jr.

Stardom also had visa problems earlier this year. The company had to change its WrestleMania weekend card in April after Maki Itoh, Yuria Hime, and Fuwa-chan were unable to travel to the United States due to what Stardom called an unusually long visa process.

This could also become a bigger issue for WWE because the company has been looking to bring in more AAA talent. WWE wanted to sign more AAA names and get visas handled so they could work in the United States.

That timing matters, because the first night of Triplemania is scheduled for Las Vegas on September 11.

Right now, there are still a lot of questions about who in WWE is affected and how serious the situation really is. Still, visa problems have already kept wrestlers off major shows in other companies, so this is something WWE will want to fix fast.
