Bayley and Lyra Valkyria have been trying to tear each other apart for months, and WWE may finally have a unique way to bring their rivalry to an end. According to a new backstage report, creative has discussed giving the pair a stipulation match that’s rarely seen in WWE’s women’s division.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there was a creative pitch in place as of last week for Bayley and Valkyria to face off in a stipulation match that would serve as the blowoff to their long-running feud.
The report notes that the match would feature a stipulation considered “rare” for WWE’s women’s division. However, one possibility has already been ruled out, as the planned match is not Hell in a Cell. The exact stipulation hasn’t been revealed, and it’s still unclear whether WWE will ultimately move forward with the idea.
Bayley and Valkyria have been feuding for months. The rivalry dates back to Saturday Night’s Main Event in July, when Valkyria took Bayley out before she eventually returned to continue the program. Most recently, Valkyria picked up another win over Bayley on the September 21 edition of RAW, keeping the bad blood between the two alive.
Bottom line: If WWE does go ahead with the reported plan, it would give one of the company’s longest-running women’s feuds a decisive finish while also adding a stipulation fans don’t often get to see.
