WWE finally cleared up the mystery surrounding next week’s Worlds Collide broadcast during the September 25, 2026 episode of SmackDown. The WWE x AAA event will not air live from Rosemont, Illinois, with fans instead getting the show several days later on YouTube.
WWE confirmed during SmackDown that Worlds Collide will premiere exclusively on YouTube on Wednesday, September 30, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The event itself takes place Saturday, September 26, meaning WWE will hold the show four days before its official broadcast.
That confirmation ends the uncertainty surrounding how WWE planned to distribute the event. There had been questions over whether Worlds Collide would receive a live broadcast at all, despite a card featuring WWE NXT and AAA talent along with CM Punk.
The Wednesday premiere also creates an interesting scheduling situation. Worlds Collide will begin at 7 p.m. ET, exactly one hour before AEW Dynamite starts in its regular 8 p.m. ET time slot. That means wrestling fans watching Worlds Collide from the start could find themselves going directly from WWE and AAA action into AEW Dynamite later that night. Depending on the length of Worlds Collide, the two broadcasts could also end up overlapping.
WWE has now answered the biggest remaining question surrounding Worlds Collide, but the choice to tape the event on September 26 and hold the broadcast until September 30 gives the show a very different rollout than fans may have expected. Putting it on YouTube just one hour before Dynamite also gives Wednesday night another wrestling-heavy lineup.
