WWE has added another match to tonight’s NXT, and this one came together because Saquon Shugars and Sean Legacy apparently couldn’t keep things calm backstage. After getting into it in the locker room last week, they’ll now get the chance to settle things in the ring.
NXT General Manager Robert Stone took to Twitter and sent out the updated card for the October 27 episode and confirmed that Shugars vs. Legacy has officially been added to the show.
The match comes after the two had a confrontation during the October 20 episode of NXT. Things apparently got heated enough in the locker room that WWE decided there was really only one way to deal with it — put them in a match. Now Shugars and Legacy will meet one-on-one as part of tonight’s Halloween Havoc go-home episode.
It’s another addition to what was already a pretty packed NXT card. Jackson Drake will defend the NXT North American Championship against E.K. Prosper, who is getting another shot at gold after recently challenging Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship.
Both Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic semifinals are happening tonight as well. NXT Tag Team Champions Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes of Vanity Project will face Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno, while Hank Walker and Tank Ledger take on Galeno and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
Chantel Monroe will also make her official NXT singles debut against Lizzy Rain. Monroe has already competed on Evolve and LFG and appeared in NXT’s 20-woman No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal, but tonight will be her first proper one-on-one match on NXT television.
With Shugars vs. Legacy now added, WWE has five matches lined up for the October 27 show as NXT gets through its final episode before Halloween Havoc on October 31.
