WWE had a familiar name unexpectedly pop up at Sunday Night’s Main Event, but it wasn’t because anyone was making a surprise return. During Tatum Paxley’s entrance, Kelly Kelly’s name and graphics briefly appeared on the arena screen in what looked like a production mistake.

The apparent mix-up happened just before the six-woman tag team match. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were already inside the ring when Paxley started making her way toward the stage, only for Kelly Kelly’s entrance graphics to suddenly flash behind her.

The graphic was partially distorted and disappeared almost immediately. Nothing else involving Kelly Kelly followed, making it appear that WWE’s production team simply triggered the wrong entrance package during Paxley’s entrance.

It was only on the screen for a few seconds, but that was more than enough for the mistake to be visible on the broadcast. Paxley simply continued with her entrance before joining Flair and Bliss inside the ring.

Kelly Kelly is currently signed to a WWE Legends deal. She hasn’t wrestled a televised WWE match since appearing in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble, so seeing her name suddenly appear during the show was definitely unexpected.

Once the accidental Kelly Kelly cameo was out of the way, Paxley had an actual match to worry about. She teamed with Flair and Bliss against Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab, with all six women getting plenty of time during the match.

Paxley started things off against B-Fab and eventually found herself dealing with all three opponents. At one point, she knocked Cargill off the apron with a dropkick before Cargill later tripped her while the referee was distracted.

The match eventually came down to Flair and Paxley trying to put Cargill and Michin in Figure Eight Leg Locks. They fought their way free, and Cargill took advantage by hitting Jaded on Flair to pick up the victory for her team.

Kelly Kelly never actually stepped through the curtain, but WWE still managed to give her an extremely brief appearance at Sunday Night’s Main Event. For a few seconds during Paxley’s entrance, anyone looking at the screen instead of the wrestler could have been forgiven for wondering whether WWE had a completely different surprise planned.

Did you catch Kelly Kelly’s name appearing during Tatum Paxley’s entrance, or did WWE fix the mistake before you even noticed it? Let us know in the comments.
