Willow Nightingale has broken her silence after losing the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW All In 2026. One day after Mercedes Moné choked her unconscious at Wembley Stadium, Willow admitted she was bruised, hurting and struggling to smile.
Willow took to Twitter on August 31 and addressed the loss. While she isn’t pretending everything is fine, she made it clear that she gave the match everything she had and plans to keep moving forward.
“In defeat, I do not smile
but I can pull my bruised and aching body out of bed knowing I gave my all
And maybe not today or tomorrow or even the day after that, but I must remember that eventually… I will smile again
Let’s keep pushing forward”
Willow came dangerously close to leaving London with her championship. She smashed Mercedes across the back with the title, hit a gutwrench powerbomb and later tried for an avalanche Doctor Bomb from the top rope.
Mercedes survived everything and eventually countered Willow’s offense into the Statement Maker. Willow refused to tap, but Moné kept the hold locked in until the champion passed out and the referee ended the match.
That loss brought Willow’s title reign to a painful end, but her message makes it clear she isn’t staying down. She may not be smiling today, but Willow Nightingale has already started looking toward whatever comes next.
