It turns out there’s more to Kiera Hogan’s absence than just free agency.

Following her October announcement that she was no longer with AEW, Hogan hadn’t wrestled since her April 2025 tag team reunion with Tasha Steelz at an ASÉ WRESTLING event. While many fans assumed she was simply taking a break or preparing for her next move, a new update from Steelz has confirmed that Hogan is actually recovering from an injury.

During a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, Steelz was asked about her longtime Fire ‘N Flava tag partner. Without hesitation, she offered a heartfelt shoutout:

“Shout out to my Fire, Kiera Hogan. Heal up soon, girl…”

When the host admitted he wasn’t aware Hogan was injured, Steelz confirmed it simply, “Yes.” Hogan previously confirmed her AEW departure during an RDP Promotions signing, telling fans she was officially a free agent:

“No. I worked at AEW until this year, and now I am a free agent.”

At the time, Hogan played coy about her next steps in wrestling, hinting at something in the works and declaring she wasn’t finished. She also flirted with the idea of a WWE jump.

“Just know, I’m not done with wrestling. You will see me on somebody else’s screen very soon, okay? She’s not done.” I mean, never say never, right? Who’s to say I don’t go to WWE and help make it better? You know what I’m saying?… Maybe the WWE just needs some heat, and they ain’t find it yet so maybe they just waiting on me.”

Hogan’s last AEW match came in April 2024, and she hasn’t competed anywhere since that ASÉ WRESTLING appearance in April 2025. While she has been off the radar, this injury update helps explain her in-ring hiatus.

With her fire still very much lit, the only question now is where and when she’ll return—once she’s fully healed.
